Sun 1st Open Book – Church – 9am The subject is a very topical one: ‘Same – sex Marriage. Our discussion will be loosely based on BBC Radio 4 ‘ Beyond Belief, episode first aired on 25/11/2012. This subject has recently been brought to prominence by the Pope’s Synod on the Family. In Loving Memory – Church – 4pm

Mon 2nd SDDG – 2 Wild Oaks Close HA63NW [01923821492] – 8pm The evening will be led by Rev Roger Dunlop & Dr Peter Briggs. The subject will be How should gay Christians respond to the apparently anti-gay passages in the Scriptures? [and the answer is not simple!] All are welcome, and different views are expected.

Sat 7th Northwood Craft Market – Main Hall – 9am – 3pm Family Film – 3 – 5pm

Mon 10th Poetry and Prose – 2 – 4pm

Fri 13th Christmas Fayre Set up – 9am – 2pm

Sat 14th Christmas Fayre – 10 – 1pm On sale will be Christmas decorations and crackers, bric-a-brac, home-made cakes and preserves, crafts, freshly made turkey rolls, toys etc

We are an inclusive Methodist church. This means a warm welcome for everyone, friendship, and a liberal approach to our belief in Jesus Christ. We are active in seeking to serve the local community, and growing the Christian faith.

* Our Parish Administrator at Holy Trinity is retiring later in the year and we are seeking her replacement. Please contact Holy Trinity for details including job advertisement, job description, person specification and application form

 

* Safeguarding Training – A Foundation Module Safeguarding Training sessions will be running on Saturday 21st November at Cannon Lane Methodist Church. These courses are both for first time attendance and for those who took the Module A training with Mike Hall 5 years ago. Posters for these events can be seen in Oasis

 

* Could all interested stewards please put up a short bio on the church website. Thanks
