Thurs 18th Thursday Bible Study Group – @Rita’s – 2pm
News of the Church Family
There are many known to us who need our prayers for strength and encouragement, even though they may not be named in this newsletter. Let us continue to pray daily for each and every one.
Notices
* Ladies in the Night – Over 1,000 people registered to walk around Northwood for this year’s ‘Ladies in the Night’ fundraising walk for Michael Sobell House, including several members of our congregation. I’m sure any of them would be pleased to add you to their sponsorship form after the morning service if you would like to show your support by giving a donation to our local hospice. Please ask Karen Lane for details.
* Mint jelly jars – The mint jelly making season is fast approaching. May I have any small glass jars you have spare (i.e. smaller than 1 lb), that I could sell, full, in Oasis to raise small sums towards improving our ‘facilities’. Thank you, Hazel
27th & 28th/June: There will be a plant sale at the Scout HQ in Northwood Way, Northwood on Saturday from 2pm to 6pm; and Sunday from 10am to 4pm, but we reserve the right to close early if the weather is poor! It will be in support of Northwood Live at Home and the local Explorer Scouts with The profits split equally between them. It’s always a very good event, with quality plants donated from a local nursery as well as private contributions, all sold at far below commercial prices.
28th/June: This will be a Local Arrangements service. If anyone would like to help in any capacity, please see Sue Lloyd
