News of the Church Family
News from Nicola Martyn-Beck: “I have been stationed to the Milton Keynes circuit. I will have pastoral responsibility for 3 Methodist churches in Newport Pagnell, Hanslope, Woburn Sands and a shared responsibility for a Local Ecumenical Partnership in New Bradwell that is a united Anglican, Baptist, United Reformed and Methodist church. My appointment starts on 1st September and my manse will be in Newport Pagnell, a small market town on the Bucks/ Beds border.”
We ask God’s blessing on her as she starts her ministry.
There are many known to us who need our prayers for strength and encouragement, even though they may not be named in this newsletter. Let us continue to pray daily for each and every one.
Thank you…
> to everyone who contributed in so many different ways towards the Christian Unity Service tea that took place after a lovely service. There were over one hundred people and a lovely atmosphere, a happy time had by all. Thank you to everyone who helped with setting up and clearing away in Oasis, baking, or giving donations of money to put towards the cost of the food and refreshments. A real team effort from everyone in NMC.
Notices
* The theme for Lent this year is ‘WATER AID’. Last year we collected in ‘Count Your Blessings’ jars. This year will you please swell your Water Aid Jars with thanks giving for clean water, a commodity which a very large number of people do not have in the developing world. Please bring these jars to the Well on Easter Sunday. Many thanks – Shirley
* If you have a STF music book at home, we would be grateful for its return. We have only seven copies in the choir cupboard, not even one for each choir member. We started out with 15 – a gift from a generous church member. They cost £25.00 each so are very precious to us. Thank you for your response – Shirley
