Giant Handprint Chain – Saturday 23rd November
The church hall was buzzing yesterday with lots of very happy, and very messy, children at our ‘Giant Handprint Chain’ fundraising event. The challenge was for the children to make as many joining painted handprints as they could in 2 hours, all in aid of raising money for the restoration work to the front of the church.
The children managed a magnificent 8992 cm (just under 90 metres!). The colourful results are on display in the church hall for the next couple of weeks.
Church members and visitors had a go at guessing the final length. The closest guess was from Ben Taylor who won the prize of a box of chocolates.
The event raised £190 for the NMC Stonework Fund.
A big thank you to everyone who joined in!
